SUNY Upstate Medical University Laboratory Assistant, Histology Lab in Syracuse, New York
Job Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance in performing laboratory testing; receives and accessions specimens for testing; distributes slides; orders supplies; assists with preventive maintenance as assigned; assists with inventory and quality control as assigned; assisting with maintenance of accurate manual and computer records for the tasks/procedures listed above; using the Laboratory Information System; answering phone calls and inquiries; attending meetings and in-services as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Science or related field (biology/chemistry) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to distinguish colors required.
