POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing direct and indirect services to clients and families.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • High School diploma/GED with 4 + years experience in human services, OR

  • Associates degree with 1– 3 years experience in human services, OR

  • B.S. degree with 0 years experience. Liberal Arts degree in human service-related field preferred.

  • CASAC certification a plus.

Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training.

A valid New York State drivers license is required.

Will maintain yearly in-service training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Clinical setting. Exposure class I – routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium work: must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull. Physical demands required to help in physical restraint of a pat

Pay Range: $20.20 - $29.30

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
