Industrial Staffing Services Inc dba Equiliem CNC Machinist- Trainer in Syracuse, New York
Client's GEIS (Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions) Division is currently seeking a CNC Machine Set-Up Consultant to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, NY facility.
As a CNC Set-up Consultant, you will educate employees in the best practices for machining parts and set-up procedures to drive productivity in the department. A successful candidate will provide support and train CNC Operators in proper set-up and operations of CNC equipment and assist with the inspection of equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and support operators through set-ups and train them as needed.
- Support Training Coordinator with documenting set-up procedures and standard work for various machines in the CNC departments.
- Partner with union employees to train and coach them on proper procedures. May be required to assist operators in the day-to-day troubleshooting of CNC equipment to improve machine output.
- Assist in the development of training documents to include video recording of procedures as needed.
- Review operator run procedures to identify productivity improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate classroom training sessions as needed.
Qualifications - External
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating and setting up CNC machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience with training and/or supervising others
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule
- Experience within Union environment

Minimum Salary: 31200.00 Maximum Salary: 31200.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
