Syracuse University Assistant Training Director in Syracuse, New York
The Assistant Training Director is an 11-month full time position that assists in the development and implementation of the Counseling Center’s practicum training consisting of SU graduate students enrolled in various mental health disciplines. Specific responsibilities related to the training program includes assisting the Director of Training with the oversight of the Counseling Center’s training committee, coordination with the appropriate academic departments, annual recruitment, selection, and onboarding of graduate student trainees, oversight of trainee evaluation, assisting with overseeing the development of training seminars, coordination of trainee supervision, and the provision of clinical supervision to trainees. Assisting the with the APPIC Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship and collaborating with our colleagues in Healthcare, Recreation, Health Promotion and Student Outreach and Support in the development of interdisciplinary training opportunities. Along with opportunities to provide clinical and administrative supervision to Counseling Center staff therapists. This position also maintains a small clinical caseload and participates in the Counseling Center’s on-call rotation.
