About the Role
We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our Retail Sales Team. Reporting to the Head of Retail and collaborating with two other NAMs, you will drive the growth of our Food Management, Disposal, Home Cleaning, and Personal Care Brands.
You will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to design and execute plans that bring the Customer Category Strategy to life. Using your negotiation and partnership skills, you will achieve growth targets within a trade investment budget. Collaborating with the Category Team, you will deliver optimal Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, and Shelf outcomes.
In conjunction with your shopper marketing and field team, you will unlock category growth opportunities and quickly resolve challenges using data-driven insights. You will also have dotted line responsibilities for developing and coaching a Sales Planning Executive.
This role is based at Sydney Olympic Park with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days from home). If you are a results-oriented sales leader with a passion for growing purpose-driven brands, we invite you to apply.
Position Summary
Identify Growth Plans : Work with the Head of Retail and Head of Category to develop plans that drive profitable category growth through optimal Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, and Shelf (AMPS) outcomes.
Promotional Planning : Collaborate with the Revenue Growth Manager to analyze, implement, and manage customer promotional and activation plans to achieve volume and net customer sales budgets.
Forecast Accuracy : Collaborate with customer replenishment contacts to maintain accurate sales forecasts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with Clorox demand planning and customer Integrated Supply Planners (ISPs) to manage stock movement across DC networks, maximizing service levels, promotional plans, and seasonal activations.
Trade Investment Management : Manage all forms of trade investment to deliver the best ROI for Clorox within agreed guidelines.
Team Collaboration : Actively collaborate with other retail National Account Managers for the greater good of Clorox.
Continuous Improvement : Seek continuous improvement in the way Clorox collaborates with customers by developing trusting relationships quickly, being highly proactive, and responding to all requests in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve Sales Targets (50% of Time)
Achieve Net Customer Sales, Volume, and Gross Profit targets across each brand and category managed in line with the annual budget plans.
Manage customer-specific AMPS solutions on ranging, pricing, merchandising, promotions, and in-store activation – Communicate to field as required.
Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with customer contacts aligned to the Customer plan and our Integrated Commercial Plan (ICP).
Develop, implement, and monitor an agreed Business Plan with key Category Managers within trade spend ratios as per budget planning.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting (20% of Time)
Manage the sales forecasting, reporting, and information associated with your customer to ensure the best understanding of trends and planning for growth.
Effective utilization of planning tools and systems including Circana, Quantium, Synergy, Oracle Netsuite, Promax, and Clorox Commercial file.
Develop and maintain internal and external Supply & Demand planning collaboration to achieve a 98% service level.
Administrative Management (20% of Time)
- Manage all administrative areas for your Customer including the claims process, month-end process, forecast updates, and SOX compliance.
Team Development (10% of Time)
- Actively support the development via dotted line responsibility of the Sales Planning Executive (SPE) who assists with the administrative functions within the Customer.
Scope Factors
People Management & Span of Control : Work with the Head of Retail to ensure the team functions effectively and efficiently. This position also works cross-functionally to achieve sales strategies and objectives, engaging Brand marketing, Shopper marketing, product supply, and technical teams.
Revenue Responsibility : RSV $65m - $85m.
What we look for:
Minimum Requirements
Experience : Five plus years’ experience in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) with a minimum of 3 years as a National Account Manager. Experience with Woolworths or Coles ideally, or Independents as a minimum.
Education : University Degree in Business or similar, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Planning & Organizing : Identifies and translates priorities into clear, actionable objectives and tactics. Has effective organization and time management skills. Develops effective plans and preventive & contingency actions. Strong FMCG sales background.
