The Opportunity:

The Systems Engineer (DOORS) will work within one of KBR’s Maritime teams based out of Sydney in support of the Royal Australian Navy.

The System Engineer will be familiar with the Defence Seaworthiness Management System and have experience with a regulated technical framework such as Department of Defence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical review and support in the generation of equipment requirements for the Enterprise Model.

  • Assist in the review and process improvement activities of the Engineering Management Plan and processes to support the generation of the Enterprise Model.

  • Work on the remediation of the requirements baselines for maritime equipment, including the traceability and completeness of the Functional Baseline to Allocated Baselines and where appropriate develop or remediate gaps in the baseline.

  • Review of systems data to ensure that the support system data is correct and consistent with policy and procedures, systems include MILIS, NAVALLOW and CMT-U

  • Where appropriate work as part of the team to define, amend and review technical data for various engineering artefacts including but not limited to System Descriptions, Interface Descriptions, Test Documents and Artefacts.

  • Develop and execute the evaluation management plans for technical assessment of systems subject to procurement activities.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • DOORS experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working to deliver Defence projects.

  • Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline.

  • Hold a minimum of an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.

  • Experience within the Defence Maritime Systems environment.

  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance on relevant ship systems.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
