I nternal Communications Specialist – Australia

Aon has a fabulous opportunity for someone who has demonstrated experience producing clear, concise and purposeful colleague communications.

Reporting to Head of Internal Communications Asia Pacific, you would be joining a team of local, regional and global communicators who work closely together to tell the stories of our firm, our clients and our people.

Your responsibilities in this role will include

  • Work with senior leadership to create communications plans which support business priorities

  • Provide communication support to the Australia CEO and senior leadership

  • Capture and review of metrics to assess and improve communications

  • Be a custodian and champion of the firm’s knowledge sharing channels

  • Collaborate with the global team to convey firm-wide messages through local content

  • Provide consultative communication advice based on your subject matter knowledge

    Skills and experience to drive success in this role

    You use storytelling to explain business initiatives and work closely with senior leadership to understand their priorities.

    You will be responsible for all elements of Internal Communication, managing end to end communications projects from initial idea through to measurement and analysis.You will be a close and trusted partner to senior leaders, working alongside them to bring the stories of our firm to an internal audience across multiple channels:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Ability to create engaging content for various channels and stakeholder groups

  • Proven experience in internal communications roles

  • Ability to operate independently with initiative

  • Experience writing content for different channels

  • Able to manage multiple priorities with an eye for detail

  • A strategic thinker who can see how various pieces of the puzzle create the big picture

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Responsive to time sensitive situations

  • Comfortable partnering with C-Suite executives and acting as an advisor

  • Ideally experienced with usage of communication tools e.g. Viva Engage, email distribution platforms
