Job Title: Software Developer (C#/.NET/Service)

Location: Sydney, Australia

Type: Regular, Full Time (Hybrid work arrangements)

Key Experience: Software Developer with 3+ years of commercial experience in developing web UI and cloud services

About the Role

As a part of this function, the R&D Technology and Execution team designs, develops, and maintains software products and solutions, including the underlying systems and architecture. Responsible for delivering world-class products and solutions using established standards and processes in collaboration with other R&D functions.

We provide regular training and development for our teams to help them grow their knowledge and expertise. Being a large software development group, there are excellent career opportunities to progress into senior technical positions or management roles.

We are looking for a talented developer with the skills and passion to successfully implement complex technical solution to join our Cloud team.

Principal responsibilities

  • Create SaaS solutions integrated with leading SCADA products for key market segments. You will be implementing UI for multiple configuration environments as well as microservices

  • You will work with the Product Owner, Stakeholders and the Scrum Team to understand, define and implement solution requirements in an Azure Cloud Environment

  • Participate in Scrum meetings with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews

  • Ensure your code is fully reviewed, unit tested and documented and delivered to agreed quality standards

Skills and qualifications

  • You have a degree in engineering or computer science.

  • 3+ years of on-the-job experience as a Software Developer in a commercial cloud development environment

  • You can demonstrate examples of strong coding skills in multiple languages, one of which one must be C#.

  • Cloud Development Experience with ASP.Net Core, Latest .NET Technologies and microservices is essential.

  • You have a solid understanding of Cloud Service Architecture in Azure; however, any AWS knowledge is also beneficial.

  • Knowledge of developing scalable and highly available systems using Microservice/Service Oriented Architectures will be beneficial.

  • CI/CD Tools and Processes in Azure DevOps

  • Experience of working with Kuberbetes and Containers such as Docker

  • Exceptional communication skills, working with a broad range of people, including Product Owners, Testers & Product Support across sites.

  • Able to take direction and seek help from senior colleagues.

  • Positive approach to problem solving with a ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Experience of using Agile methodologies

  • Exposure to Blazor would be an advantage.
