We are seeking motivated Principal Air Pollution and Odour Control Engineer/Scientist to join our high performing Water Division and assist on our water projects based in our Sydney office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.
About the role:
The role will support project managers/group managers by providing technical expertise on various projects, primarily across the water sector in Australia, but also internationally. Provide project management and leadership to team by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both client & Stantec expectations
Responsibilities:
Plan, programme, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects and proposals
Produce and review technical calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solutions
Plan, programme, write and review reports for various projects
Preparation and review of cost estimates for project design and construction
Plan, programme, coordinate and carry out all required activities for Stantec projects at various locations
Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required
Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures
Minimise and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programmes and ensuring proactive use of our project management systems
Other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10 years professional experience in engineering consultancies, preferably within the water & waste sector
Strong technical knowledge of standard processes and procedures in relevant technical fields of odour control and treatment
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain client and internal relationships with key staff across the Australian business
Intermediate to Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
