About Us

Located in the heart of Circular Quay and overlooking Sydney Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens and city skyline, the iconic InterContinental Sydney boasts 509 guest rooms, a suite of leading meeting and events spaces and premium restaurants and bars.

As our Hotel continues to grow we're looking for an Assistant Manager- The Conservatory Restaurant to assist in running our very busy hotel breakfast restaurant.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic individual from a hotel background, with a solid understanding of luxury service, to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This hands-on role will offer you the chance to lead from the front, working closely with our F&B Director and other Assistant Managers.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our Conservatory Restaurant and In-Room Dining team, driving exceptional guest experiences and flawless daily operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high service standards, enhancing guest satisfaction, and fostering team engagement. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to learn and excel in key areas such as rostering, labour control, and maximising the use of technology and equipment to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate is agile, enthusiastic about learning, and ready to progress their career in the F&B sector. With a focus on delivering an exceptional breakfast experience and seamless in-room dining, you will have ample opportunity to grow and develop, this role is perfect for someone who is excited to embrace new challenges, develop a broad skill set, and advance their career in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Skills and experience

  • 1+ years experience in Luxury Hotels.

  • A real morning person- you will be working mainly mornings between 6am/7am to 2pm/3pm

  • Absolute a people person- you will love working on the front line, leading your team and interacting with your guests

  • Proven ability to lead & develop a team, improve guest satisfaction & maintain standards

  • Great communication & interpersonal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail & commitment to high standards!

  • You must meet the legal requirements to live & work in Australia

  • Valid NSW RSA Competency card is required
