Intel Altera (PSG) EMEA Sales Account Manager (f/m/d) in Swindon, United Kingdom

Job Description

In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Altera (EMEA SMG) is looking for a strong and inclusive Sales Account Manager (SAM) to be an instrumental member of the EMEA sales Team. In this function the SAM will take account ownership of Altera Billings accounts in EMEA.

Role can be located in England, UK OR Munich, Germany

In this position you will:

  • Create strategic business partnerships between customers and the Altera BU

  • Communicate strategies to the appropriate field and factory personnel to obtain required support and coordination.

  • Develop a clear understanding of Intel/Altera business practices including pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, distribution, and code of ethics.

  • Meeting or exceeding revenue and design win goals, in line with short- and long-term growth objectives

  • Own and manage the customer relationship, opportunity and pipeline and ensuring that these are accurately captured and updated in the CRM system

This is a commissioned sale position.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience:

  • Master / Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineer) or any related field.

  • 10+ Years of experience in the semiconductor industry, or in technical sales or marketing role (i.e. technical account manager, account executive, etc.)

  • Be an outstanding talent in communication and have the ability to win others through an open minded personality

  • Have strong results-orientation, pro-activeness, and ability to perform under pressure

  • Have the ability to build relationships across all levels with our customers

  • Demonstrable track record of achieving results in a Sales position

  • Experience in implementing an outcome based selling process across all customer engagements

  • Experiences from relevant segments (i.e. enterprise, cloud, embedded,…)

  • Strong experience of FPGA technology and knowledge of Altera's portfolio, strategy and corporate direction

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and drive toward common team goals in a complex environment (incl. virtual)

  • Successful written and oral communication skills, including the abilities to present effectively in front of a demanding audience and influence internal and external (management) stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient

  • Willingness to travel in EMEA

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
