Lang Aycock Child Care Center Part-Time Cook in Sweetwater, Texas
**Child Care Center seeking a Part-Time Cook to join their Team.
Job Duties and Requirements:**
- Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Cook foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served.
- Rotate and store food supplies.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
- Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or patrons.
- Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry.
- Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability.
- Monitor menus and spending to ensure that meals are prepared economically.
- Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
Business Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00 am - 6:30 pm
- Schedule will be discussed during interview
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Candidates Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Driver's License not required, however, must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must submit to a Background Check and Fingerprinting.
- Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
- Food Handler's Certification preferred; however, will be able to obtain certification within 90days of hire.
Rate of Pay:
- Depends on Education and Experience.
