Dispatcher

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday; 3pm-11:30pm

Description:

• Communicating all day to day updates pertinent to shipping and receiving department.

• Scheduling inbound receiving appointments via phone and email.

• Processing inbound and outbound orders.

• Learning and keeping up with all dispatcher SOP and responsibilities.

• Implementing problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Communicating and interacting with all company and inbound drivers (TF has both local trucks and 3rd party)

• Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed in a timely fashion

• Assign seals to outbound trucks

• Verbally communicate with truck drivers all necessary information provided by our Coordinator

• Ensure driver’s documentation procedures are accurately followed

• Proper tracking of arrival and departure times must be completed and accurate

• Handling bills of lading for completed loads.

• Logistic log sheet updated accurately as needed

• Ensure phone calls and message distribution are done in a timely fashion

• Follow any and all additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Transportation Assistant/Manager

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Dispatching or warehouse administrative experience preferred.

• Customer service experience.

• Inventory/warehouse admin/clerical experience.

• Experience communicating with drivers (strong communication skills).

• Microsoft experience (email and excel- basic spreadsheet only).

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
