What is the job about?

The purpose of the local Buyer is the following:

• Effectively sourcing for qualified MRO and Facility vendors;

• Negotiate with MRO suppliers to get a competitive price, on time delivery and qualified goods and service;

• Establish and manage cost saving goals for MRO material and facility purchasing;

• Manage the MRO, facility and services in different categories, set up the sourcing strategy for different categories;

• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance;

• Generate various analysis reports for assigned commodities;

• Collaborate with all other departments and suppliers to create a good solution for open and difficult issues;

• Balance the relationship between company and suppliers;

• Maintain database accuracy in ERP system;

• Coordinate with finance colleagues to fulfill the payment to suppliers according to company policy;

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by Purchasing Manager

Your main responsibilities:

Accountable and responsible for the administrative support to MRO and Facilities categories related to sourcing and close cooperation relationship activities with the Group Indirect Purchasing and Local Operation Management. In addition, to the below mentioned key activities.

Value based sourcing related activities:

• Responsible for Indirect Purchasing Goals.

• Indirect Purchasing Category Savings and cost avoidance;

• Local Site Indirect category for MRO and facility Purchase Order Coverage;

• Local Site Indirect category for MRO and facility Contract Coverage

• Responsible for local suppliers

• Responsible for the tendering process (eRFI & RFQs and e-auctions);

• Responsible for the creation and updating of contracts;

• Responsible for price and contract negotiations;

• Responsible forplanningcost out activities;

• Responsible for keeping the Indirect Purchase Minimum payment days term

• Responsible to build the yearly roadmap based on Group Purchasing priorities in alignment with Production Plant priorities.

• Responsibly for the timing of the Indirect Projects activities of the yearly roadmap;

• Responsible tomanage/support supplier related activities / projects in collaboration with plants

• Category team:

• Participate in developing the Indirect Purchasing Strategies for key suppliers and relevant collaborative suppliers;

• Be part of a team of cross-functional key stakeholders between Plant with APAC Group Purchasing, and APAC Indirect Purchasing with Global Indirect Purchasing especially CoE;

• Develop supplier portfolio with a localization and site plant focus;

• Manageprojects or activities aligned with category strategy

Operational Procurement Management related activities :

• Accountable for Vendor master data (Shared service task with other stakeholders);

• Accountable for updating Purchasing conditions (Shared service task with other stakeholders);

• Support solving of suppliers or components related issues;

• Act as Escalation point for plant according to escalation matrix;

• ManagePurchasing tasks in temporary outsourcing due to capacity constraints.

Supplier Relationship Management related activities:

• Responsible for Local suppliers:

• Monitor the performance of suppliers (e.g., on-time deliveries, quality);

• Prepare and participate in follow-up with suppliers on performance against target and agreed development activities;

• Follow up on improvement initiatives;

• Classification of suppliers;

• Develop SRM strategies for selected Local suppliers based on risk assessment by the Local Purchaser

Your background

• Relevant commercial or technical education; Apprenticeship and job-related work experience or associate degree;

• Good experience / background in sourcing, prior for experience in MRO and facility purchasing;

• Ability to read / understand drawings and technical requirement;

• With ERP experience;

• Strong analytical abilities;

• With good ISO9000 knowledge;

• Able to carry out multiple assignments with competency to adapt in a changing environment;

• You are expected to have strong problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions executing sound judgment;

• Effective negotiation skills with experience of cost savings
