Indirect Purchasing Section Manager

If you are an experienced purchasing professional looking for an opportunity grow, Copeland has an exciting platform for you! Based in Suzhou, China. You will be responsible for the overall management of indirect purchasing function to develop purchasing strategy for indirect materials according to company business needs and lead the team to achieve procurement target.

As Indirect Purchasing Section Manager, you will:

  • Lead the indirect purchasing team to achieve the performance goals, build a positive team working atmosphere, motivate and maintain high team morale.

  • Set up annual performance target for indirect purchasing team according to business requirement and review the progress regularly.

  • Work out bidding plan based on annual fixed assets expenditure plan and monitor the implementation. Formulate purchasing strategy for the consumables and spare parts as well as tooling and fixture.

  • Track quality, delivery performance and price of core supplier, optimize payment cycle to supplier to improve cash flow.

  • Identify the risk of supply chain security and take preventive action to prevent supply from disruption. Coordinate divergent view occurred during commercial contract period.

  • Connect with cross function teams to drive cost reduction project.

  • Continuously optimize the procurement process to make the flow more efficient and

  • Regularly review supplier list to look for the opportunities of optimization and resource integration.

Required education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical or electric engineering

  • At least 8 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing environment, among which 2 years of people management experience is a must.

  • Good experience of project management and familiar with project management process

  • Fluent in English both for oral and written.

  • Good ability of data analysis

  • Strong communication and social skills

  • Work cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives
