Hussmann Corporation Cost Analyst in Suwanee, Georgia
Overview
This position is an entry level Cost/Financial Accountant position, with anticipated growth to Cost Accountant II. The primary responsibilities of the role include daily invoicing/billing of the company’s sales, daily reporting inventory costing, payroll reconciliation, and general ledger activities. Working with the Plant Controller and Staff this position includes financial reporting, month-end closing, costing, Sarbanes-Oxley, special projects, and accounting knowledge as well as consolidation of information. Applicant will collaborate closely with local plant employees and plant management in a strong team environment. This position will be responsible to learn all aspects of BAAN (ERP system), and master Excel and other analysis programs that will help make Suwanee both more efficient and productive.
Responsibilities
Ensure all invoicing is completed accurately and timely on a daily basis. Accurately prepare and print customer invoices – with particular attention on the last billing day of the month to accurate reporting revenue.
Ensure that systems transactions are completed, distributed and filed accurately and on time.
Responsible for gathering Cost Accounting data, performing financial analysis and assisting in defining departmental direction.
Update Costing Information Daily
Ensure all shipments are invoiced and reconciled to the general ledger.
Identify and analyze variances from standard reports and develop / interpret miscellaneous reports.
Willing to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of accounting.
Reconcile earnings and earned hours to labor reporting hours.
Support all 5S, EHS, Lean and Quality Initiatives.
Must be present and assist with annual inventory process to include counts.
Assist Management in helping to training new employees.
Work directly with the operations manager to maintain manual tools.
Power Pivot tools are used to report daily labor and efficiency for Operations excellence.

Train as back up for payroll Specialist
Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree- focused toward Finance or Accounting
0-2 years of experience
Identify and analyze variances from standard reports and develop / interpret miscellaneous reports.
Must be able to accurately record and transfer information/transactions to required forms.
Willing to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of accounting and operations
Project potential problems in inventory, and cost of production. Inform Senior Cost Accountant and provide recommendations.
Exercise analytical ability by creating miscellaneous reports to test financial validity.
Self-starter - perform work responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Flexible and available to work overtime and long hours with little notice, as required by production demands.
Professional demeanor and willingness to work well in a team environment. A MUST!!
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Advanced Excel, Power Pivot, SQL and Access is desirable
Strong computer skills with understanding of Integrated/ERP systems, preferably Baan
A high level of attention to detail is also required for this position.
Assist in development of alternate costing methods which support management and statute requirements.
Create monitor and reports for all manufacturing labor and overtime on a daily basis finding the most effective methods and interactive communications process.
