       License and Certification Qualifications: Georgia certification at the School Counseling-5 (SC-5) certification level required. Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.Education Qualifications: Master's degree in school counseling and leadership required.Experience Qualifications: Five years of school based counseling experience in K-12 public school with leadership responsibilities and experience in developing and implementing high quality staff development that supports and impacts student academic achievement and counseling content standards (AKS and Student Mindset and Behaviors) in areas of academic, career, and social-emotional development required. Experience with data-driven, comprehensive counseling programming required. Knowledge and experience with high school academies preferred.Skills Qualifications: Detail oriented; highly organized; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multitask; ability to work well and communicate with others in an effective manner; ability to analyze and solve problems; strong presentation skills; knowledge of counseling skills and current trends and issues; ability to analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new SIS and computer programs.Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement suitable programs and procedures for academic, post-secondary, and career counseling in schools to achieve continuous improvement, as measured by analyzing student achievement data. Responsible for assisting local schools and district office personnel by providing consulting, collaborating, and giving presentations that identify the best practices for advising and delivering the curriculum to support student social-emotional wellness, academic achievement, and post-secondary planning.1. Provide comprehensive support services to enhance the effectiveness of counseling programs, including collaboration and consultation with various stakeholders, emphasizing college and career readiness.2. Support the strategic planning and management of data within the Office of Counseling, College and Career Services to ensure program objectives are met.3. Collect and analyze data on student participation, program effectiveness, and outcomes to evaluate the impact of career programming initiatives and inform continuous improvement efforts.4. Design, develop, and implement comprehensive career programming initiatives aligned with district goals. 5. Coordinate professional development opportunities for college and career specialists and school counselors to enhance their capacity to support students in career exploration, academic planning, and post-secondary transition.6. Foster and maintain positive relationships with local community entities, educational institutions, professional entities, and internal departments to support district goals and aid students' transitions to post-secondary education. 7. Support the implementation and ongoing application of multi-tiered support systems within school counseling programs, with an emphasis on post-secondary planning and support.8. Oversee and complete the evaluation process for College and Career Specialists to ensure quality and effectiveness.9. Complete special projects that contribute to advancing counseling services and student support initiatives.10.
