Aerotek Assembly Technician in Surrey, British Columbia

We are currently hiring an Assembly Technician for a manufacturing facility located in South Surrey, BC. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate. There will also be opportunity for growth and pay increases.

Responsibilities may include:

• Set up and process the job orders as received

• Responsible for the safe and efficient set up

• Responsible for quality and quantity of the work produced in assembly department

• Troubleshoot, fix, re-jig parts, can fabricate and locate missing parts and pieces to assembling the unit

• Lifting may be required throughout the day non repetitive - up to 50lbs

• Use of basic tools, power tools as required to perform assembly (drills, rivet guns, wrenches, mallet etc.)

• Operating sit down counterbalance forklift when required to move pallets with parts/final assembled units

• Quality checks before it goes to final inspection and shipping department

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ year experience in an assembly job capacity (building cabinetry, final assembly finishing work, assembly/metal fabrication experience)

• Experience reading a measuring tape

• Experience using basic tools, power tools (drills, rivet guns, wrenches, mallet)

• Must have experience operating sit down counterbalance

• Read and interpret schematic drawings/blueprint

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Shift:

Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Compensation Details:

• $29.00 per hour

• Opportunity for wage advancements

• 4% vacation pay

• Yearly steel toed boot allowance ($150)

• Full 100% coverage Health/Medical, Dental, Vision and extended benefits

• Union benefits
