Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving the execution of complex projects from ideation to delivery. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and QA, to ensure alignment and successful execution of our product roadmap.

About Team: Marketing and Advertising Technology

We are part of Walmart's Marketing and Advertising Technology organization, driving innovation on the Digital Marketing side. Our team is focused on establishing and scaling best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). We are building a strong foundation in Technical SEO, micro-services, and data engineering while developing cutting-edge tools and services to consistently expand Walmart's SEO share of voice. What you'll do:

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers to meet business and technical goals.

  • Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and scalable architecture.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Manage engineering resources effectively and optimize processes to increase team efficiency.

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams.

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, and tools.

  • Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks (e.g., cloud technologies, microservices, etc.).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
