Puppet Experience:

• need Opensource Puppet & Puppet Enterprise experience (enterprise scale)

Role scope:

• Puppet Admin/Engineer. Day to day maintenance of puppets infrastructure including break/fix troubleshooting

• Support of Overall infrastructure

• will NOT be creating modules (called Manifests in Puppets)

• Need advanced programming skills

• Ruby --> for re-factoring/administration of Puppet Software

• PowerShell/Python --> integration and automation purposes

• Puppet is generally used in HEAVY linux environment but is just as capable in Windows. The ideal candidate needs to know how to work with Windows agents in addition to Linux. (does not need to be hands to keys in windows adminsitration)

• Devops as it relates to DevOps, Walmart is siloed so the will not have access to the full DevOps environment BUT needs to have strong experience in Ci/CD w/ some popular tool like Github (Gitactions) or Jenkins w/ Gitlab or azureDevops w/ Gitlab..etc

• Preferred: Gitactions for CI/CD

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This person will assist with day to day work, but could also participate in project work. One major project currently in flight is the migration from puppet 7 to 8.
