Google Product Manager II, Cloud Armor in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 3 years of experience with Product Management in an Application Security space involving internet service protection in the public Cloud.

  • Experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Web Application Security, Web Application Delivery, Network Security, Cloud Security, SaaS, Enterprise.

  • Experience with the application security ecosystem (e.g., WAF, OWASP, CVEs, NGFW, CNAPP).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to customers and partners, as well as company leadership.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The team works with security, application, and network teams who are tasked with keeping lines of business operating safely, securely, and reliably on Google Cloud.

In this role, you will help define and execute the long-term idea and strategy for Cloud Armor and Project Shield. As Product Manager, you will take ownership of the full life-cycle from design through go-to-market of new features, products, and services across Cloud Armor. You will build business growth generating products in partnership with customers, engineering, security researchers, UX, marketing, and external partners to solve user problems across application and network security, application delivery, compliance, and reliability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Understand enterprise customers network and application security needs both in the cloud and on premise.

  • Understand the broader application and network security and application delivery ecosystem, markets, competition, and trends.

  • Help generate new ideas on products and services that can be brought to market to help protect Google Cloud customers from Internet and network based cyber-attacks.

  • Drive projects through their entire life-cycle (e.g., requirements, design, development, launch, landing), and help manage the overall roadmap by prioritizing requests from customers and engineering teams across Google Cloud.

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, UX, and other cross-functional teams to launch new application security and delivery products, and work with customers to ensure they are successful with deploying products.
