Uber Group Product Manager, Customer Obsession in Sunnyvale, California
About the Role
Uber Operates in 70+ countries and 10,000+ cities worldwide, with 30 million+ monthly active users and 6 million+ active drivers and couriers worldwide, and facilitates an average of 25 million trips per day. Millions of people reach out to Uber regarding their Ridesharing or Delivery experience. These can be Drivers who want to sign up to start driving or have payment issues, Riders having Safety issues, or Eaters wanting to get a refund for a delayed food order or missing item.
The Customer Obsession team builds support experiences spanning automations, self-serve flows, channels and tools for Uber's support staff to provide resolutions to customer issues. The New business team enables differentiated support experiences and driving innovation as Uber ventures into new business models like Autonomous Vehicles, Fleet, Grocery delivery etc. We are seeking an innovative, customer-focused leader to lead the new business support charter at Uber.
What the Candidate Will Do
As the Group Product Manager, you will be at the helm of shaping a platform that powers AI-driven solutions for the future of customer engagement across Uber's new businesses. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, Operations and the executive leadership to build cutting-edge support tech that accelerate B2B support experience and be the foundation of growth for new businesses at Uber.
In this role, you will oversee a mix of strategic product leadership and people management, with the opportunity to guide both product innovation and team development.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of product management experience in defining, launching, and scaling products in a global technology organization
5+ years of leading, mentoring, and developing product management teams
College degree (ideally MBA) from a top tier university in computer science, engineering, or related streams.
Prior experience with SaaS or consumer focused products
Experience building 0-1 products, platform/ecosystem products, or marketplaces
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level executive discussions
Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals
Bring a consultative approach to problem solving and leading with strategic vision when working with diverse set of stakeholders
Professionalism, dedication and ability to work in a matrixed organization
Ability to deliver results in a global and remote work environment comprised of internal and external stakeholders
Monitor key product metrics and gather user feedback to analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$239,000 per year - USD$265,500 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$239,000 per year - USD$265,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
