We are offering an opportunity for an Application Development Analyst III (Contractor) to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. As a vital part of our team, your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing applications for our deployed devices, including addressing bug fixes and other reported issues. You will be involved in the full systems life cycle, from design to implementation and maintenance, and will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to deliver technical solutions that align with our business and IT strategies.

Day to day:

o Support deployment, support issues, automate things you see in the field, test systems understanding so you can improve them

o Help developers, lead dev QA activity

• Possible Past jobs: Automation Network Engineer (not an IT role, this is working ion embedded Gateway, router experience), Embedded Network Engineer)

• Maintenance releases for deployed devices including bug fixes dev triage or QA and field reported issues.

• Based on the complexity of hardware resources.

• Bugfix enhancement and new small feature releases for broadband devices.

• Works closely with customers business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

• These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organizations architectural standards.

• Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing coding testing implementing maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.

• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.

• Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design performance monitoring product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations.

• Has experience in systems analysis design and a solid understanding of development quality assurance and integration methodologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

• Typically has 6 - 9 years of programming/systems analysis experience.

  Requirements

• We are looking for a Network Engineer to work on Embedded Devices

• Not looking for IT Network Engineers, looking for Embedded Lead role – helping other Dev QA engineers and team in India

• 5-8 years of experience

• QA + Support Role + Automation

• Deployment is Gateway Product

• C, C++, Python, Develop Test Scripts

• Global teams, across the world, team in UK, India – be flexible sometimes if there are call / meetings early or late

• Must have:

o Embedded Linux

o Embedded Networking Experience

o Automation

o C, C++, or Python is required – to be able to write some code from automation perspective, not from deployment perspective

• Preferred:

o RDK experience is preferred

• Top skills:

o Embedded – Networking Concepts

o Routers, Firewall experience, Automation experience
