Description
OVERVIEW:
The role of the Donation Driver is to pick up donations from our various retail stores and deliver them back to The Salvation Army Sunnyvale Corps. To unload, weigh, stock, put away donated items, and report stats daily to appropriate programs and agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pick up all the food donations from the food bank
Drive to designated retail stores for donations
Oversee the food pantry program
Maintain food storage and distribution area
Attend community Agency Meetings
Keep up to date on changes in community agencies' procedures and regulations.
Deliver and process donated items
Report stats to appropriate programs and agencies
Maintain company vehicles
Greet and direct office visitors
Coordinate with store receivers and managers to schedule donation pickups
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
CA driver’s license (required)
Experience with Data entry
Experience driving a 2-ton truck
Experience with pallet jacks
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Team player
Great communication skills
Ability to multi-task

Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
