Google Analytics Acceleration and Co-Design in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

  • Experience with computer architecture, performance, system architecture, and software development using C++ or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Experience in one or more of the following: storage systems, analytics systems (including data warehouses), databases, distributed query processing, and low-level software.

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems, computer architecture, including low level performance analysis and memory/storage systems.

  • Experience with networking and related software infrastructure, and silicon architecture and design.

  • Proficiency in concurrency, parallelism, synchronization, consistency, events, scheduling, communications, and overhead in software and hardware systems.

  • Proficiency in C++ or Python, with an understanding of concurrent Object Oriented Programming and Functional Programming.

In this role, you will help to solve complex problems including but not limited to hardware acceleration, performance bottlenecks, system hierarchies, concurrency, computer organization, and whole-stack co-design and optimizations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Utilize system architecture and design for future platforms for Google services.

  • Develop engineering driven methodology to inform the system architecture and design of database/analytics systems deployed in Google data centers.

  • Participate in performance analysis for deployed platforms to understand and mitigate performance bottlenecks.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
