Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and dedicated Clerk, Accounts Payable in Sun Valley, CA. The role involves the comprehensive management of customer credit applications, ensuring accurate customer records, and efficiently resolving customer inquiries. This position also requires the monitoring of customer accounts and taking the necessary actions.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner

• Ensuring the maintenance of correct and up-to-date customer credit records

• Managing pending invoices daily for accuracy including vendor details, amount, and billing string coding

• Providing assistance to vendors in submitting invoices for processing and identifying the correct submission process portal and PO/Requestor for submission

• Coordinating with Procurement for the approval to submit new supplier requests

• Reviewing system invoices to determine if accrual is required during the Month-End close period

• Performing monthly Use Tax review and submission

• Keying in Oracle Manual Payment requests to the system after verifying vendor information and coding

• Following up with Requestors/Managers to approve/create receipts timely to avoid late payments

• Assisting Accountants with preparing reclasses/accruals.

Requirements • Proficiency in office functions and reporting

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to process invoices and payments accurately

• Capable of conducting reviews and audits on financial documents

• Familiarity with time tracking software, ideally 'About Time'

• Experience in billing and coordinating with vendors

• Knowledge of procurement processes and receipt validation

• Proficiency in Oracle or similar financial software

• Ability to accurately code invoices for proper department allocation

• Understanding of tax laws and regulations as they pertain to accounts payable

• Experience in submission of financial reports and missing invoices

• Comfortable working onsite and coordinating with different teams

• Familiarity with month-end close activities

• Understanding of accrual accounting principles

• Experience in invoice processing

• Knowledge of disability benefits regulations and processes
