Job Title: Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating forklifts and handling materials in a warehouse or production environment. This role involves supplying finishing equipment with products, removing finished products, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Supply finishing equipment with products from the presses

• Remove finished products from the end of the finishing equipment and prepare them for distribution

• Load and unload products from trucks

• Understand and follow proper safety procedures regarding the operation of forklifts

• Remove bale waste bins and assist in the bailer rooms

• Assist other material handlers as needed

• Scan products into and out of inventory

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation experience

• 2+ years of Material Handler experience

• Experience in packaging and production

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of previous warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience

• Good mechanical aptitude

• Willingness to learn and adapt

Work Environment

The work environment includes a rotating shift schedule with hours from 6am to 6pm for the day shift and 6pm to 6am for the night shift. The shift is a 3-4 rotating shift, alternating between the front half and back half of the week every six months. The finishing day shift pays $18, the finishing night shift pays $19, the press day shift pays $19, and the press night shift pays $20. The dress code is casual and safety gear is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
