Aerotek Robotic Weld Technician in Sumter, South Carolina
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, robotic systems, and safety protocols.
Responsibilities: • Operate robotic welding machines to perform welding tasks on metal parts. • Set up and calibrate robotic welding equipment according to specifications. • Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and consistency. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding systems. • Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize welding processes. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Robotic programming experience preferred. • Must have the ability to build fixturing for welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or robotics is a plus. • Proven experience as a welder, preferably with robotic welding systems. • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to lift and move heavy objects. • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes.
