Job Title: Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Mechanic with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and fixing mechanical issues, with experience in maintenance roles in manufacturing or automotive industries.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues.

• Change out components and perform preventive maintenance.

• Work with cam drive systems, gear boxes, conveyors, and various sensors.

• Change encoders and reset servos/drives.

• Run vacuum pumps and troubleshoot solutions for slow-running machines.

• Lead a line of 3-6 people, conduct daily safety briefings, and handle work roles for the day.

• Maintain production timelines and manage workflow.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical technical aptitude.

• Experience with gears, cam, and crank shafts.

• Leadership qualities and ability to influence.

• Experience in preventive maintenance.

• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems (24V or below).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive mechanics.

• Ability to lead and manage a team.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Work Environment

Training will be provided for the role, with flexibility in shift timings. The position requires working the night shift (3-2-2-3 schedule from 8pm-8am). The plant operates 24/7 with approximately 900 employees, providing a large and dynamic work environment. Onboarding starts on Mondays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sumter, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.
