Atlantic Health System Registered Nurse, Full Time Evenings (10:30A - 11P) PACU OMC in Summit, New Jersey
Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
Records patient vital signs and medical information.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date)
License/Certification:
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
2+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
PALS certification preferred
CCRN, CEN or other AACN-certification preferred
NIHSS certification preferred
Experience:
2+ year of RN experience in Critical Care, Stepdown/Intermediate, Emergency nursing experience
