Atlantic Health System Patient Care Technician I in Summit, New Jersey
Responsible for assisting doctors/nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks might include things like feeding and cleaning the patient or monitoring vital signs and health.
Principal Accountabilities:
Assist and direct patient calls to appropriate staff to triage.
Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
Schedules appointments for emergent visits as needed.
Assists with pre-registration of patients
Rooms patients and reconciles medication.
Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN/MD
Maintains equipment and inventory
Other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Patient, compassionate nature
Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems
