We are seeking a Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Sulphur Springs, Texas. This role will involve supporting two production lines and participating in a management team of eight individuals. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the facility and represent the face of finance to corporate, senior leadership, and employees. This contract to hire employment opportunity provides the chance to handle financial statements, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

This is a contract-to-hire position. Hybrid work schedule: 4 days onsite in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Plant Controller (contract-to-hire):

Responsibilities:

• Supporting plant operations by managing financial statements and conducting variance analysis.

• Overseeing financial reporting and using advanced Excel skills for forecasting and budget tracking.

• Collaborating closely with HR and Plant Operations to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Working with the leadership team to understand how downtime impacts the bottom line and using financial trending/analysis to interpret and relay data to operators.

• Developing and supporting a task list that the team can effectively execute.

• Assisting with Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance and cost rolls.

• Preparing reports that summarize and forecast plant business activity and financial position in a manufacturing expense organization.

• Directing the preparation of budgets, reviewing budget proposals, and preparing necessary supporting documentation and justification.

• Advising management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.

• Managing the Finance Department including on-site staff and off-shore team that handles transactional work.

• Serving as a key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant’s strategic direction, establishing priorities, and allocating resources.

• Working effectively with plant functional managers to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment.

• Being accountable for financial support and follow up of capital projects.

Requirements

• Applicant must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role such as Divisional or Plant Controller.

• Proficiency in Activity Based Costing is required.

• Experience in handling Month End Close is essential.

• The candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is required, while a master's degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA would be highly beneficial.

• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data are required.
