ABM Industries Lead, HR Information Solutions in Sugar Land, Texas

Overview

As the Lead for HR Information Solutions space, you will be the functional expert of ABM’s HR Systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud along with other 3rd party human resources applications driving the optimization of our resources and technology. You will be a senior member of the team dedicated to the systems supporting our hire-to-retire processes and under the guidance of the senior manager, partnering the IT team responsible for technical expertise of HCM systems, HR Team Member Experience leaders and other HR team members to support the strategy, implementation and continuous improvement of HCM resources.

Essential Functions:

  • Takes the lead on the functional support of ABM’s HR Systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud and other 3rd party human resources applications as assigned.

  • Serves as a liaison across the HR enterprise to architect core hire-to-retire processes in Oracle HCM for all process and business requirements.

  • Lead the functional aspects of the application portfolio in the HCM, focusing on globalization and harmonization of the HR systems landscape with a strong focus on using technology to align with HR processes to simplify team member experience, elevate data integrity and automate manual business processes.

  • Provides support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR team members on HCM tools and systems.

  • Collaborates with IT partners, HR Shared Services leadership, and other key stakeholders to identify and drive needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommends and implements solutions.

  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users.

  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

  • Act as a coach or trainer for the HRIS team as needed to accelerate the performance of HRIS & Data Governance team as appropriate.

  • Works with Senior Manager to assist the business in translating technology trends into scalable solutions for the HCM domain.

  • Collaborating with IT and our application vendors and managing their services based on the agreed SLAs.

  • May serve as a subject matter expert on HR processes to assist in the procurement of appropriate technology resources ensuring that the organization has high quality, efficient systems supporting team member data and information.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Information Technology or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years pf progressive experience specifically related to a full range of HR services, systems, and processes in the core hire-to-retire employee lifecycle.

  • Preferred: at least 2 years of experience specifically related to Oracle HCM

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across different functions at all levels of the organization, with specific strength in influencing to drive progress while managing expectations.

  • Ability to keep information confidential.

  • Ability to coach and influence others.

  • Strong business acumen; ability to understand complex functions in depth.

  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HR systems and technology meets organizational needs and goals.
