Job Description Summary

Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Supplier Improvement

  • Responsible for the supplier base from the assigned category to improve the supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance.

  • Access the supplier capability, performance through audit, business and technology direction via company profile, survey and/or onsite evaluations.

  • Develop and/or drive the strategies to improve the overall supplier supply chain agility, supply assurance, consistent product quality and reliability.

  • Present and share supplier performance, supply assurance risk and improvement strategies.

Supplier Management

  • Manage and maintain the supplier business relationship.

  • Set business goals and priorities for supplier and ensure alignment with organization goals.

  • Ensure supplier comply to the require regulatory requirement such as compliance of the SRG (Supplier Responsibility and Governance) audit, NADCAP and AS9100.

Collaboration

  • Window to provide local support, guidance and facilitate the RFQ, discussions, meetings, training etc between supplier and business.

  • Collaborate with commodity team, fulfilment team and others to support success of local sourcing and supplier development.

  • Lead and drive the quality and delivery problem solving discussion.

Process Optimization

  • Implement and promote best practises in supply chain business process, manufacturing process/technology to improve efficiency, throughput.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain preferably in the field of mechanical, materials science.

  • At least 5 years of working experience in supplier quality, development, or management role in manufacturing field.

  • Knowledge and experience in high precision machining, stamping and assembly process problem solving. Understanding of manufacturing process to improve part integrity such as hot isostatic pressing, heat treatment.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding of stack up tolerance analysis.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics. Preferably Green Belt certified and ability to apply process map, statistical tool, lean concept to improve supplier performance.

  • Failure analysis tool knowledge such as X-ray, leak test, hardness will be added advantage.
