JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Intern -- Human Resources Location of Position: United States -- Wisconsin -- Sturgeon Bay Business Group: Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding Department: Human Resources Position Type: Internship; Temporary; Non-Exempt Reports To: Senior Human Resources Manager Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources function at our Sturgeon Bay, WI shipyard. Significant heavy manufacturing takes place both in several fab shops, as well as on the waterfront across our vast, 63-acre facility. The successful candidate will support the 1,000+ working men and woman on our waterfront by passionately pursuing innovative and effective safety solutions that focus primarily on employee wellbeing, manufacturing efficiency and environmental awareness Detailed Description: Provide general support of the HR department. Performs related duties in support of the human resources function, in a primary or backup capacity. Handles and maintains personnel files, forms and database information associated with personnel, benefits, attendance, and general information and recruiting. Maintain plan and office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliance manner. Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront. Maintain a commitment to and promote the Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety Policies. Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. Assists in the entry of status change forms for all employee changes Assists in validation of labor collection of all employees and contractors Assists in the creation and completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports. Assists in the auditing of T&A agency invoices and resolves any discrepancies. Additional projects as assigned. Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront.
