Lockheed Martin Shipping & Receiving Clerk B in Stratford, Connecticut

Description: Unload and handle all types of components, parts, assemblies, materials, etc., delivered to the O/R Center.

Aid in checking shipments.

Open shipping containers.

Deliver items to production line and/or re-preserve units and reseal containers and place in storage area.

Preserve and prepare for shipment components being returned to customers.

Spray, dip or brush parts with prescribed preservatives, tape, tubes, threads, etc.

Apply grease or moisture-proof paper, place in containers, wrap and seal according to specified requirements.

Aid in the fabrication of standard packing boxes and be familiar with correct methods of cushioning, locating items in containers and bolting parts securely.

Load outgoing items on freight cars, airplanes, trucks, etc.

Operate electric or hand truck as required.

Perform other duties, usually of a related or similar nature such as repairing or modifying containers as required, at the direction of supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires the ability to read, write, add and subtract whole numbers in order to check shipping and receiving paperwork against items being processed.

2 to 3 months; or equivalent SIK experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
