Job Description

The Engineering VIE will provide support to engineering teams by assisting in the work station design and the implementation of new machines. This VIE will focus heavily on improving efficiency of the operator at the work station, part flow optimization and lay out optimization.

PROJECTS AND DELIVERABLES

• New Sandblaster installation : lay out, work station design, conformity to the Safran Standards

• New Deflash robot installation : lay out, work station design, conformity to the Safran Standards

Complementary Description

SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED/DEVELOPED IN POSITION

Proficiency in the following software: AutoCad.

Knowledge and ability to apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts : VSM, tack time, transit time,…

Knowledge and ability to apply Safran Ergonomy standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage working teams to gather Requirements

• Manage development of proposed lay out (with local teams or with subcontractor)

• Manage – build schedule of design and implementation of new lay out

• Define with Engineering Team the validation plan for the machine

Job Requirements

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education/Knowledge/Skills

• 1 years experience in the use of AutoCAD.

• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

• Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
