JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Job Purpose Provide support and leadership to plant operations management through the implementation of environmental, health and safety programs, procedures, and education initiatives focused on continuous improvement, compliance assurance, incident reduction, and risk mitigation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support overall business strategy by ensuring all environmental, health and safety directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively incorporated at plant level. Develop, implement, and execute annual objectives and improvement plans in conjunction with plant management. Develop appropriate strategies for implementation of new or revised policies and regulations in conjunction with plant management. Undertake, at regular, intervals audits/inspections of the plant (including inspections of machinery, equipment in use, and work systems in operation) with plant management to ensure compliance with corporate polices and regulations. Where appropriate, develop corrective and preventive actions with management team. Collaborate with Safety Engineers, supervisors, and production employees to conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments, and implement proper controls as necessary. Evaluate, recommend, and manage industrial hygiene monitoring to assess employee exposures to airborne contaminants and physical hazards. Identify plant environmental, health and safety training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required. Partner with Training and Safety Educators (TSE) to assure effective completion of training topics. Organize and oversee plant safety committee meetings.
