Description

The Division of Cardiology at The Heart Institute, Stony Brook University Hospital, seeks a full-time academic Electrophysiologist (Assistant or Associate Professor levels) to serve a population of 1.5 million people at Suffolk County's largest academic hospital. We are looking for an invasive Electrophysiologist with advanced skills in device implantation and ablation to enhance our growing practice.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MD, DO or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Board eligible in Electrophysiology. Board Certified/Board eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine is strongly encouraged. Proven ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Track record of commitment to teaching and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students and/or academic achievements and publications. Prior experience in leadership roles or quality improvement initiatives. Experience in clinical, translational, or basic research.
