Stony Brook Medicine (Stony Brook University Hospital) CTS Cardiology Associate/Sonographer - Non-Invasive Cardiology in Stony Brook, New York
PositionSummary
- Under the general supervision of the Technical Director of Echocardiography, the TH CTS Cardiology Associate will perform and assist in the performance of a variety of echocardiographic procedures on adult inpatients and outpatients. Using standard 2D, color flow, Doppler and M-Mode techniques and views as indicated and needed. The technologist's primary area of responsibility will be in all aspects of echocardiography. Facility with 2D, color, Doppler and Contrast echocardiography is required.
- Enter charges for exams performed.
- Enter patient data/measurements into reporting system.
- Acts as a clinical resource and preceptor for new staff and students.
- Serves on selected committees of the nursing, administrative, and medical staff as assigned by the Nurse Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology.
- Provide coverage as needed to our satellite locations.
- The selected candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays. Please note that shift hours and work days are subject to change.

- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services*
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
- Successfully complete a 5 panel drug screen*
- Successfully complete a Background Check investigation.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
