Summary This ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics Directorate (G-4), Surface Maintenance Facility and is part of the CA CSMS Stockton. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2602-11, is to serve as a working leader of three or more Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanics, WG-2602-11. Performs duties such as performing calibration, diagnostics repair, and certification of electronic, mechanical, and radiation Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower-grade employees. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. Military Grades: E-6 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required. Qualifications General Experience: Possess experience or training that has provided the candidate with sufficient knowledge to complete the work of this occupational series; Experience or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to lead other National Guard employees engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series. ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2602-11: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have at least 24 months of experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series; Ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment; Ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.
