Jackie Meza with Robert Half is in the search for a Controller to join a team within the Financial Services industry located in Stockton, California. The selected candidate will be in charge of overseeing the fiscal records of the company and clients, ensuring they conform to GAAP, and timely dissemination of financial reports, tax filings, annual audits, and budgets. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the company and client's fiscal records conform to GAAP.

• Ensure the timely dissemination of financial reports, tax filings, annual audits, and budgets.

• Collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders within the organization.

• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.

• Produce financial documents and strategic insights as required.

• Lead the Finance Department team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

• Implement strategies for cost reduction and profit maximization.

• Maintain financial reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Ensure regulatory compliance in all financial functions.

• Coordinate audits, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Prepare tax returns and other necessary financial documentation.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements

• Familiarity with GAAP Accounting principles and practices

• Must possess strong analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience in the Financial Services industry

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other related tools

• Strong decision-making skills

• Ability to work in a team as well as independently

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
