This position will oversee all operations relating to the safe use of the School of Architecture (SoA) workshop and digital fabrication equipment across the School. Primarily responsible for instructional lab support, technical training for students, TAs and faculty, lab/shop safety, asset management, required safety training for all SoA employees, management of all SoA shops including but not limited to: Laser Cutters, 3D printers, Plot Shop,CNCMachine and Wood Shop. Supervision of TAs assigned to the SoA shops. Periodic exposure to chemicals, lasers, high voltage, noise, and other potentially harmful machinery and equipment. In addition, the Lab Coordinator will provide administrative oversight to theCEATLearning Laboratories (CLL) Wood Shop, and provide general support to both SoA andCLLduring the summer months. This position reports directly to the Head of the School of Architecture and will work under the direction of the SoA Head and their faculty appointees.
