Delivers and retrieves used durable medical equipment (DME)/assistive technology (AT) statewide to individuals with disabilities. Delivers, assembles, and provides demonstrations and training on the proper use and maintenance of equipment to individuals and families. Coordinates and maintains delivery route and schedule to maintain a 40-hour work week, assists with warehouse duties, as well as ensures proper maintenance of motor pool vehicle. All other duties as assigned.
In-state travel will be necessary for purposes of this program. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, travel may require additional time.
Will be exposed to cleaning chemicals. Cleaning equipment takes place in a warehouse with limited climate control. It will be necessary in the cold months to wear additional clothing and in the warmer months cooler clothing. Use and exposure to electric tools, motors, and batteries. Exposure to unsanitary dirty equipment and proper precautions should be used.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate mechanical equipment, climb high ladders. Able to to drive, load, unload van safely, operate van lift, equipment dolly, and maintain a 6-8 hours daily schedule of driving statewide.
