SAUER COMPRESSORS USA/ALLIED Mechanical Drafter in Stevensville, Maryland
Mechanical DrafterAn innovative, expanding, international manufacturing company rooted in the Annapolis / KentIsland area of Maryland is seeking a motivated Mechanical Drafter to assist with designing thehighest quality solutions. Thisposition will report directly to the Technical Documentation Manager.
Responsibilities:
Produces manufacturing drawings for compressor assemblies to be packaged internallyand parts for outsourcing
Creates production drawings per Engineers bill of materials, sketches, etc.
Revises and updates existing drawings to reflect design changes
Verifies latest revisions are on record
Creates and maintains technical documentation in conjunction with TechnicalDocumentation Manager
Prepares as-built documentation based on production red-lines and engineering changeorders
Maintains and updates parts within Autodesk Professional Suite
Communicates with Sales, Production, Procurement and Engineering team members ondrawings and designs
Stays up to date with project tracking software, ISO documentation requirements andvarious other procedures and processes
Accomplishes other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma required; related associates degree preferred
CAD certification preferred
2 years minimum related experience with creating parts and assemblies with 3D draftingsoftware (Autodesk Inventor or similar)
Understanding of design considerations for machining, fabrication, and assembly
Must be willing to work within a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize, within high-paced environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
Clear understanding of project flows and manufacturing processes
Preferred experience working under ISO9001
Inventory management software experience preferred
