JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21459 JOB TITLE: Continuing Education Event Planning Assistant TTC Title and Code: Event Planning Assistant (DS026) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Heidi Disher, Conferences Program Manager Position Summary Delivers and assists with planning conferences and trainings both on and off the UWSP campuses, strengthens and supports partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and regional community. Schedules and secures resources and communicates conference logistics. Shift: Generally 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Evening, Weekend and varied hours will be required to support conferences and events. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication with experience serving as a primary contact for individuals and groups via phone, in person, and through other communication mediums. Experience preparing and auditing complex records, editing documents, and reviewing work done by others. Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, capably, and confidently, both virtually and in-person. Experience building and editing websites. Ability to drive a state vehicle. Ability and willingness to travel overnight (0-6 nights per month). Preferred Qualifications Associate\'s degree Experience in event planning and execution, in person, virtual, and/or hybrid. Experience coordinating event AV equipment and/or providing technical assistance in a conference-like setting. Experience capturing, editing, and posting videos. Experience in building relationships with a broad range of customers.
