Want to work for a company that is recognized as a top workplace across the country? We're searching for a Software Development intern to join our team in Sterling, VA for the summer of 2025! The internship will begin in May and last 10-12 weeks. You will be expected to work 100% on-site.
Responsibilities:
Assist in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software and suggest solutions for problems or software enhancements
Assist in writing, modifying, and debugging software for client applications and writes programs according to specifications from higher-level personnel
You may help to develop the critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security, rules infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, and application interfaces
Use source debuggers and visual development environments
Profile, analyze, and optimize the software
Employ best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development and develop software user manuals
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Software Development, Software Engineering or related field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Familiarity with Web Development Technologies such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Groovy, Grails, Angular
Familiarity with Backend Development Technologies such as Python and Java
Familiarity with hardware or software tools at an appropriate academic level
Desired:
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not required
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience
Participation in professional/community/extracurricular activities

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$41,700 - $83,500
