Adecco US, Inc. 1st Shift CNC Lathe in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Adecco is currently looking for CNC Lathe Machinists to join our team in the Sterling Heights, Michigan area on 1st shift. The ideal candidate is someone who has been a CNC Lathe Machinist and works well in a busy environment. Job Summary: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathe machines to create precision parts according to blueprints or specifications. They must understand machine setup requirements, perform various machining operations, and maintain quality control throughout the production process.

Skill Requirements Must-Have:

  • 1+ years of CNC lathes machinist experience including set ups, change overs, etc.

  • Ability to read blueprints , sketches, and drawings

  • Experience with precision measurement tools required

  • Programming experience preferred

  • High school diploma or general education degree ( GED )

  • Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

  • Physical ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds

  • Experience with machining centers

  • Knowledge of quality control practices

Skill Education:

  • CNC : Computer Numerical Control (CNC) refers to the automated control of machining tools by means of a computer where machines are operated through programmed commands encoded on a storage medium.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.

  • Demonstrates high quality work and detail oriented.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands with PPE to pick up and move parts.

  • Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; and smell.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
