SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Title: Territory Sales Manager

Business Division: Pharmaceutical - Sales

Position: Permanent, full-time

Location: Remote (Preferably based in Saskatchewan)

Territory: Saskatchewan and Manitoba

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

The Territory Manager will be responsible, including executing sales calls on Eye Care Professionals (ECPs - ophthalmologists & optometrists), to promote Bausch & Lomb’s pharmaceutical and OTC products, managing territory business budgets, and conducting Continuing Medical Education events within the territory.

Specifically, the position entails:

• Assessing/analyzing doctors’ business needs to gain positioning of Bausch + Lomb products

• Strategic account planning with the goal of expanding current B&L product utilization and assessing landscape for future brands

• Achieving a minimum routine call schedule of 5-6 calls/day

• Developing and maintaining an effective routing and zoning plan for the territory;

• Developing and implementing account specific programs and business plans

• Implementing and following all administrative policies and programs

• Actively participating in national and regional sales meetings

• Managing Key Opinion Leader relations for local and national purposes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage territory to meet each customer’s needs through the sale of Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals products

• Meet assigned quarterly and annual sales targets to achieve revenue and profit goals

• Develop and implement territory management plans to focus time and effort on right area

• Work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to design and implement tactical sales plans within defined financial parameters

• Assist in the development and implementation of business plans for key accounts

• Manage the growth and development of individual customer accounts. Transmit marketing and sales intelligence to appropriate Company personnel

• Develop and maintain product and market knowledge, and continuously hone selling skills in accordance with established expectations and standards.

• Report potential adverse event information, events of special interest and medical device incidents as soon as possible but within 24 hours after becoming aware, regardless of the severity of the event and whether or not you think it is caused by the product. Information should be sent as per Bausch Health Adverse Event Training.

KEY CHALLENGES:

• Consistently reaching to meet/exceed established and changing objectives

• Driving all aspects of the territory business with minimal Sales Operational support (no field CME, Analytics, or field sales trainer support)

• Developing knowledge of the consumer/customer demonstrated through continuous efforts to exceed their expectations

• Learning detailed technical and product information for a wide portfolio of products.

• Utilizing effective time management and organization skills

• Physical energy expended on travelling and calling on a number of accounts on a daily basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales. Sales within the ophthalmic market would be considered beneficial, but not required. Surgical knowledge would be an asset. Must have documented sales success. Must be able to understand and effectively communicate complex scientific information

• Post- secondary education, with BSc or business degree preferred

• A strong entrepreneurial mindset and approach to managing territory business

• Highly developed interpersonal skills, communication skills, both oral and written

• Proven ability to self-manage time and administrative tasks (pre-post call planning, territory routing/zoning, expenses, sample accountability, etc.)

• Computer skills (Microsoft applications and internet/intranet navigation)

• Ability to travel extensively within the large territory

• Valid driver’s licence and insurability
