As our Senior Identity and Access Management Analyst you will be a hands-on technical SME for all things IAM for authentication across a number of platforms. The team is responsible for how users within an organization are given an identity, and how it is protected, which includes securing critical applications, data, and systems from unauthorized access while managing the identities and access rights of people both inside and outside the organization.
Identity & Access Management involves protecting data assets and implementing processes, tools, and standards to run a business intelligently. The team is heavily involved in the Audit & Regulatory Compliance area.
In this role, you will:
Deliver a Secure Colorado by implementing tools, technology, and process improvement; participating and partnering with Security organization in implementing a standardized IAM management framework.
Lead activity for the authentication implementations and manage solutions for operation.
Oversee maintenance of system configurations, process design documentation, operating procedures, and process documentation.
Act as an escalation point for IAM and related processes, working with customers and stakeholders as needed to resolve all issues quickly and efficiently.
Provide engagement in projects, collaborates with leadership and staff to develop secure solutions and options; assist with driving strategies forward; ensure adherence to approved methodologies; manage demand and capacity for successful workload management.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While most salary offers are made within the posted range, occasionally an offer is made below or above the posted range based upon this salary analysis.
This is a skills-based job announcement. The required minimum qualifications and/or education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows:
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position, including experience in a professional, enterprise-level Identity & Access Management environment.
Substitutions:
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four (4) years of experience in systems administration for authentication and directory services (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Ping Director, Virtual Directory Service).
Two (2) years experience with implementing and administering identity federation technologies.
Two (2) years of experience with implementing and administering multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies.
Demonstrable ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to work in both collaborative and independent work situations.
Demonstrable exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Working knowledge of the following: Cyber security regulations, compliance standards, and security frameworks.
Knowledge across a broad range of directory services for Cloud, Workforce, Consumer, and Digital.
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), CompTIA A+, Security +, or other IT industry certifications are a plus.
Conditions of Employment:
OIT candidates and employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work.
A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
Positions supporting some agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety will also require a pre-employment drug test.
This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.
Supplemental Information
If this posting indicates “remote from anywhere in CO” in the title, periodic reporting to the primary state work location designated for the position is required. All remote work must be performed in Colorado.
While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position. A reasonable timeframe for relocation will be established on an individual basis, while considering business needs, and determining a start date.
